What's Happening???

Hello, parents and students! It has really been an exhausting couple of weeks with reviewing and testing. I know your children are tired and ready for a break. I hope that you and they have a relaxing a fun break and come back ready to learn!

Over the next few weeks and until the end of the year, we will be reading our new novel, Freak the Mighty. The students already love it and we are only on Chapter 3! The students will completing a project that goes along with the book. We have gone over the instructions and rubric in class, so each child should know what is expected of him/her. They will be receiving their own copy of the project instructions and rubric when we come back from Spring Break. They will be able to complete the project in class, and will only need to work on it at home if they do not finish during class time.

Homework will be a little different from now until the end of the year. Students are expected to read for 20 minutes each night. In addition, if they do not complete the chapter comprehension questions during class, they will need to complete them for homework.

Let me know if you have any questions!
